The survey was proposed on a local government site that was previously a rural residential property with numerous buildings and associated structures, which were overgrown and in varying states of disrepair, resulting in some access concerns.
The survey was completed by an experienced hazardous building materials consultant / environmental scientist. Where possible, samples of suspected asbestos-containing materials were obtained from already-damaged building fabrics. Where safe access was restricted, assumptions were made based on professional experience and additional site knowledge gained from the client.
JKE prepared an asbestos survey report, which included an asbestos register with photographs for future identification of asbestos-containing materials.
