The original development proposal was for an industrial facility on an existing landfill. The proposed development would require excavation and reburial of part of the landfill for flood mitigation. Following the site’s sale, a new development proposal was prepared for a high-density residential development
Our solutions
We undertook a number of soil groundwater and landfill gas investigations. Working in conjunction with JK Geotechnics, we also developed a plan for the excavation and reburial of part of the landfill. Following the site’s sale and the new development proposal, JKE prepared a detailed document identifying the site constraints and outlining potential solutions to mitigate risks.
