Project challenges
Health Infrastructure NSW announced the transformation of the existing Liverpool Hospital at an estimated cost of $740 million. The hospital remained open during the initial planning and design phases, which posed limitations to the site investigations.
Our solutions
JKG and JKE have been involved with various development projects within Liverpool Hospital since the early 1990s. Our in-depth knowledge of the ground conditions and strategies for working around an operational facility enabled us to design our investigations to minimise disruption and costs and keep investigation timeframes as short as possible. Investigations were carried out concurrently with JKG where appropriate, which provided further cost savings.
